Preparation for Road Construction


1.1 Review the design documents and make technical disclosure to the construction team.

1.2 The equipment shall be mobilized in place, debugged and ready for construction at any time.

1.3 The materials are mobilized to the site and pass the inspection.

1.4 Traffic signs and warning signs are in place.

Construction process of traffic marking

Construction process: Closed traffic→ clean the road surface → measure and set out → draw the bottom line → coat the bottom oil → coat the glass bead → spray glass beads → repair → open the traffic

2.1 Before the road marking, the dirt, dust, loose particles and other sundries on the road surface shall be removed to make the road dry to meet the construction requirements.

2.2 Set out accurately and draw out the bottom line. The alignment is consistent with the road alignment.

2.3 In order to improve the adhesion between the road surface and the coating film, the special hot-melt adhesive shall be applied on the road surface first, and the adhesive shall be evenly applied on the right side of the snapped line.

2.4 The hot-melt marking coating (premixed with 15% ~ 23% glass beads) shall be put into the hot-melt kettle for uniform heating, the coating shall be stirred to a certain temperature, and then loaded into the marking car. After the primer is dried, spray the marking line, and at the same time, spray the road marking beads. Use 0.3%kg/m2 of the amount of road marking beads to put pressure on all the marking line.

2.5 The spraying work is generally carried out in the daytime. When the road surface is wet, dusty, windy or the temperature is lower than 10 ℃, the construction of pavement marking work shall be suspended.

2.6 When spraying the marking line, it shall be uniform and continuous to ensure that the film thickness is uniform and neat. During construction, the marking line shall be pasted at the beginning and end of marking.

2.7 Remove the overflowing and sagging film, trim the non-conforming markings, check the thickness, size and distribution of glass beads, and collect the scattered road marking glass beads for paint.

Construction process of raised road sign

Construction technology: closed traffic→ road cleaning → survey and setting out → application of binder → installation of raised road signs → opening of traffic

3.1 When pasting, the pavement surface shall be dry and clean without impurities; When the pavement is wet, dusty,or the wind speed is too high or temperature is too low, is not allowed to paste.

3.2 The raised road signs shall be pasted on both sides of the curbs, 20mm away from the edge line of the carriageway. The raised road signs shall be pasted in the middle of the tunnel section, and the melting line shall not be marked at the places where the raised road signs are pasted.

3.3 Apply adhesive such as epoxy resin to the bottom of raised road signs evenly with the coating thickness of about 8mm, and the adhesive shall not be disturbed before solidification.

3.4 When the raised road signs are set on the cement concrete pavement, first wash the concrete surface with hard brush and 10% hydrochloric acid solution, then wash it with clean water and install the raised road signs after the pavement is clean and dry.

3.5 The height of raised road signs shall not be higher than the pavement by 25 mm.
